Opus Horn Repair opened in 1995 by partners Larry Long and Kenny Welch, both former music  educators who decided there was a great need for a truly superior and well equipped band instrument repair facility in South Central Kentucky.  Ed Donner joined Opus in 2005.  They are the preferred repair technicians of many school band programs, university players, and seasoned professionals. Opus Horn Repair is located adjacent to Royal Music at 830 Fairview Avenue in Bowling Green, Kentucky.

Larry Long – BME from Western Kentucky University, MM from Memphis State University.  Larry began as a repair technician at Royal Music Company in 1982 before opening Opus Horn Repair.  He is a member of the National Association of Band Instrument Repair Technicians and has become widely known as the premier double reed repairman in this part of the country.  Larry is also active as a performer and adjudicator, serving as bassoonist for the Owensboro Symphony and appearing regularly as a bassoon clinician.  He maintains a private studio for double reed students.

Ed Donner – BA from Murray State University, Graduate of Red Wing Repair School in Red Wing, Minnesota.  After finding his way to Murray State University from upstate New York, Ed attended the Cincinnati Conservatory before opting for a more stable career as a repair technician.  Even though Ed is a woodwind specialist, he does the vast majority of brass repairs at Opus Horn Repair and is highly sought after for his meticulous attention to detail.  Ed is a frequent saxophone performer in the area.
